Aaron Rodgers’ New York Jets return could be weeks away, based on shocking new injury report

A new report suggests that Aaron Rodgers could make a shocking return to the field this season, and it may only be a few weeks away.

The last six months have been a roller coaster ride for the New York Jets organization. It took weeks to finalize a trade for NFL legend Aaron Rodgers. Then, after years of seeming like a malcontent, he turned over a new leaf and had a renewed passion for the sport in a Jets uniform, and his leadership and still elite play were seen as the missing ingredient for a Super Bowl contender in 2023.

Then all those hopes were dashed in four plays in Week 1. When the future Hall-of-Famer suffered a torn Achilles versus the Buffalo Bills, it seemed like Gang Green was headed to another lost season. Furthermore, Zach Wilson’s play in relief during the team’s three-game losing streak only emboldened the doom-and-gloom feelings part of the fanbase.

However, there has been a bit of a shift in the last couple of weeks. With Wilson playing better, and the defense competing at an elite level, the team has won two straight. Including a surprise victory in Week 6 against the previously undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.

Following the victory it seemed like a hopeful dream for the Jets to do enough to make the playoffs and maybe Rodgers could return just in time for the postseason. Well, it isn’t out of the question he is back well before then.

On Monday morning, CBS Sports injury expert Marty Jaramillo claimed that Rodgers being able to walk around with crutches yesterday was a clear sign his recovery is surpassing all expectations and he is on track to make a shocking return in less than two months.

“It looks more like a Week 12 [return], and it’s only been four-plus weeks [since surgery],” Jaramillo says. “He’s moving almost three times as fast as traditional protocols. … No boot, no crutches, minimal limp. It’s quite exponential. There is no precedent for this type of recovery following an Achilles tear. He is beating back Father Time.”

It was reported last month that Rodgers was likely to use some cutting-edge rehab techniques to expedite his healing, and it seems those approaches have been very successful so far for the 39-year-old quarterback. The New York Jets face the Miami Dolphins in a Friday night game on Prime Video in Week 12.
