The Arizona Cardinals needed a miracle late in the fourth quarter against the San Francisco 49ers. Pinned deep inside Arizona’s 15-yard line, receiver Andy Isabella came through with a stunning 88-yard touchdown.
The rookie broke open on his route cutting into the sideline and hauled in a dime from quarterback Kyler Murray. He immediately made 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman miss at the 50-yard line, then turned on the jets and found his way to the end zone.
The stunning play turned an 11-point deficit into a five-point game and the Cardinals immediately went for two. Running back Kenyan Drake, just acquired a few days prior, came through with a big play of his own to make it a three-point game.
Arizona came into Thursday Night Football as a massive underdog. Now thanks to some surprising contributions from unexpected players, the Cardinals have a shot to go for a stunning comeback.
