Not only did the Atlanta Falcons lose for the sixth time in seven games to start the season Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, franchise quarterback Matt Ryan exited with an injury.
Ryan was seen hobbled after a strip-sack from Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald in the fourth quarter. He immediately entered the medical tent on the sideline and did not return.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ryan was seen in the locker room wearing a walking boot. He’s going to get an MRI on Monday. However, the Falcons don’t believe this injury is serious.
At 1-6 heading into Week 8, Atlanta’s season is already pretty much over. The team now must take on the Seahawks, Saints and Panthers in their next three outings.
It’s not yet known whether Ryan will be available next week. If not, veteran backup Matt Schaub would start against Seattle.
