If the New York Yankees needed more proof that All-Star outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is ready to return next week, he provided it on Friday night with a jaw-dropping home run in a rehab game.

During Friday night’s contest against Triple-A Durham, Stanton stepped to the plate and drilled an unbelievable blast off the third story of a building just outside of the stadium in left field.

Stanton might even have something against that particular building because it’s not the first time he drilled a baseball at it today. During batting practice before the game, he launched another home run that hit the top of the building.

At this point, it’s only a matter of avoiding any medical setbacks for Stanton. The All-Star’s bat is more than ready to be plugged into the heart of New York’s lineup and that is scary for a team that is already near the top of MLB.
