The Memphis Grizzlies have found someone to guide their young core moving forward.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Memphis will hire former Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks assistant Taylor Jenkins to be their next head coach.
Jenkins is the latest former Mike Budenholzer assistant to get a head-coaching gig, joining the likes of Quin Snyder and Kenny Atkinson.
He served on Budenholzer‘s staff with the Hawks from 2013-18, before joining him in Milwaukee this past season.
Jenkins will have his hands full in helping rebuild a struggling Grizzlies squad that won just 33 games this past season.
He’ll likely be building around 2018 top-four pick Jaren Jackson Jr. and Murray State guard Ja Morant, who the Grizzlies are expected to select No. 2 overall in next week’s NBA Draft.
