New York Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold says he’s planning on playing Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, per ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
Sam Darnold on @TMKSESPN: "The plan for me, personally, is to play (Sunday) … Barring something catastrophic, I feel like I'm ready to go." #Jets

Darnold has been sidelined since Week 9 with a lingering foot injury. In his place, Josh McCown has filled in.
Though, at this point in a meaningless 3-9 season, the Jets would be wise not to rush Darnold back if there are any doubts that he’s not 100 percent healthy.
So far, Darnold has displayed some flashes, but remains very much a work in progress. He’s thrown 11 touchdowns against a league-high 14 interceptions in nine games this season.
