Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes did not have a good first half against the New England Patriots on Sunday night. He missed multiple would-be touchdowns and threw two interceptions, leading to a 24-9 halftime deficit at Gillette Stadium.
But once the second half got going, the record-breaking sophomore signal caller was back up to his old tricks.
Kansas City’s initial drive of the third quarter saw Mahomes connect with running back Kareem Hunt on this 67-yard touchdown. How Hunt got that open is anyone’s guess. But Mahomes’ ability to extend the play was a huge factor in this score to bring Kansas City to within eight points.
What a throw. Patrick Mahomes connects with Kareem Hunt for a 67-yard TD.

Having thrown four interceptions in his past four-plus quarters of action, Mahomes has shown himself to be human.
Plays like this might question that belief moving forward. He’s just an insane talent.
