The Boston College Eagles are hosting the Miami Hurricanes Friday night in a game that has some significant ACC ramifications. And they’re not pulling any punches early on, much to the delight of their fans.
On their opening drive, the Eagles scored a touchdown that was facilitated in large part by a previous play that caught the vaunted Miami defense completely off guard.
Quarterback Anthony Brown threw behind the line of scrimmage to receiver Jeff Smith on an apparent screen pass. Only, instead of trying for yardage, Smith threw back across the field to a wide open Brown, who romped 27 yards into scoring range.

Three plays later, the two connected again, albeit in a more traditional way, for the opening score of the game to put the Eagles up 7-0.
