Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis hit a ball on Sunday that nearly left the yard for his 100th career home run but didn’t quite make it. Thanks to some good hustle, though, he got it anyway.
Kansas City Royals right fielder Alex Gordon leapt for the ball, but couldn’t quite corral it and the ball bounced away from him. Kipnis, who never stopped running on the play, eventually making it around the bases for a stand-up, inside-the-park home run.
