Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano is going to soon be joining his teammates once again after being suspended 80 games for PEDs.
He’ll begin his first step on this road back Monday night when he’ll suit up for the Tacoma Rainiers, Seattle’s Triple-A affiliate club.

Cano will be eligible to join Seattle on August 14 in Oakland for the second game of that three-game series against the team’s AL West rival.
Before being suspended, Cano batted .287 with four home runs and 23 RBI in 143 at-bats.
When he does rejoin Seattle’s major-league club, it’s likely that the veteran will split time at second base as the team gears up for a hopeful playoff run without him. The Mariners are currently in third place, 6.5 games behind the Houston Astros in the division with a record of 64-48.
