Philadelphia 76ers rookie Ben Simmons wasn’t having any of that LeBron James hype against the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday evening in Philly.
Out of the gate, Simmons and his Sixers were seen dominating the Cavaliers in every way possible. Not only that, the former No. 1 pick opened up with electric play after electric play in a ridiculous first quarter display.
It really was a sight to behold.

All said, Philadelphia dropped 41 points in the first quarter to open up a 13-point lead. The team then extended that to nearly 30 points in the second stanza.
For his part, Simmons dropped nine points, eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals in just his first 13 minutes of action.
Philadelphia entered Friday night’s game just a half game behind Cleveland for the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. Obviously, Simmons is out here making sure that his Sixers get that top-three spot.
