The Jacksonville Jaguars routed the Houston Texans 45-7 on Sunday. But Houston linebacker Jadeveon Clowney was thoroughly unimpressed by Jacksonville quarterback Blake Bortles.

Clowney’s timing is interesting, to say the least.

Bortles is not a superstar quarterback. This is pretty well known at this point. But on Sunday, the Jacksonville signal caller was 21-for-29 for 326 yards with three touchdowns, no picks, and a 143.8 rating.

Calling someone “trash” just after he did that against your defense is not well advised. A more positive answer or even a simple, “no comment” might have been more appropriate.
