Tony Romo isn’t thinking about anything else right now except coming back as soon as he can after breaking a bone in his back.
Jon Machota of Dallas News passed along a conversation Romo had with Dallas Cowboys star receiver Dez Bryant.
Dez Bryant on what Tony Romo said to him: "Keep right, stay in the best shape and keep fighting. [I'll] be back."

Bryant also expressed supreme confidence that Romo will be back and stronger than ever.
Dez Bryant on Tony Romo: "Me knowing 9, he's going to get himself together. He's going to get back right and come back stronger than ever."

Head coach Jason Garrett wouldn’t rule Romo out for Week 1, despite reports Saturday that the quarterback will miss up to 10 weeks with his current injury (more on that here).
Given the fact that Romo played in 2013 with two fractured trasverse process in his back, nobody should be surprised if he does gut out his recovery and quickly returns to the field. It’s been reported that he’ll likely need epidural injections in order to play at all this year. But he’s obviously quite determined to get back onto the field as soon as he’s able.
The problem with this is that Romo came back way too early last year after fracturing his collarbone. He ended up breaking the same bone again, requiring special offseason surgery to strengthen it.
Personally, it seems like Romo should be considering retirement at this point to save his back, rather than rushing headlong into incoming traffic. But he clearly isn’t viewing that option as a viable one at this time.
