Let’s dive into the World Series odds 2024 and our best picks for who will win the World Series this season.

Who will win the World Series in 2024?

Here is our top five picks for potential World Series champions in 2024, with each club’s World Series odds included. You can find the full team-by-team World Series odds for 2024 below.

Los Angeles Dodgers – +360

Even without Shohei Ohtani taking the mound in 2024, the Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the best teams in baseball. Los Angeles is carried by a phenomenal lineup that includes three NL MVP candidates (Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman) along with likely All-Star selections in Will Smith and potentially Max Muncy. The big concern is the Dodgers’ rotation, which will depend heavily on Tyler Glasnow staying healthy and Bobby Miller making significant strides. Still, the Dodgers’ deep farm system, an outstanding lineup, a strong bullpen and the eventual return of Clayton Kershaw make Los Angeles a great WS pick.

Atlanta Braves – +600

The Dodgers got all the attention this offseason, but let’s not forget the Atlanta Braves are consistently one of the best MLB teams every year. It starts with an All-Star lineup featuring MVP candidates Ronald Acuña Jr and Matt Olson with All-Star sluggers Ozzie Albies, Sean Murphy and Austin Riley surrounding them in the Braves batting order. Moving to Atlanta’s rotation, Spencer Strider is an ace while Max Fried and Charlie Morton are dependable mid-rotation starters. If Chris Sale stays healthy, a big if, Atlanta has the pitching and hitting to dominate in October and move to the World Series.

New York Yankees – +900

The New York Yankees haven’t won the World Series since 2009, which also happened to be their last appearance in the Fall Classic. After missing the playoffs entirely last year, New York responded by adding Marcus Stroman, Alex Verdugo and Juan Soto to their roster for the 2024 season. Durability is obviously the big question with the Yankees lineup and an even bigger concern when examining the Yankees rotation. New York hasn’t proven to have injury luck on its side at any point over the last six years. If that changes in 2024, New York can hoist the World Series trophy for the first time in nearly 15 years.

Texas Rangers – +1100

The defending champions have the fifth-highest World Series odds in 2024. While the Texas Rangers didn’t lose a lot of talent to fellow contenders this winter, they are still dealing with critical injuries. Corey Seager is slowly working his way back from sports hernia surgery, Jacob deGrom (Tommy John surgery) won’t take the mound for Texas until late in the 2024 season and the oft-injured Max Scherzer (back surgery) will start the year on the injured list. Plenty went right for Texas to win it all last October and while they have the talent to do it all again, there’s a reason we haven’t seen a repeat winner since the 1998-2000 Yankees’ three-peat.

Baltimore Orioles – +1300

Baltimore Orioles fans have been waiting years for this and their time has finally come. Unfortunately, spring training began with alarming injury news on Kyle Bradish (UCL sprain) and John Means (elbow soreness). It was a blow for an organization and fan base that was rightfully extremely excited about this rotation for 2024. Now, the lack of rotation depth has become a bigger concern. Fortunately for Baltimore, one of the best farm systems in baseball provides the assets necessary to fortify the Orioles’ lineup or rotation with a big piece at the MLB trade deadline. While the Orioles aren’t a safe pick among the clubs with the highest World Series odds, you could get a much better bang for your buck with them than the Yankees or Houston Astros.
