Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis has been having a good go at it since replacing Ryan Tannehill under center back in October. That includes throwing four touchdowns in his starting debut against the Atlanta Falcons back on Oct. 29.

Unfortunately, Levis pulled up lame in overtime of Sunday’s narrow 19-16 loss to the division-rival Houston Texans. It came after a sack. As you can see, Levis was in a tremendous amount of pain as he clutched for his leg.

Levis did say after the game that he’s doing alright and will get feedback from Titans trainers tonight and heading into Monday. Whether that includes getting an MRI on the injured foot remains to be seen.

Levis ended up completing 17-of-26 passes for 199 yards with zero touchdowns and one interception in the 19-16 overtime loss.

Will Levis stats (2023): 59% completion, 1,792 yards, 8 TD, 4 INT

The Titans certainly want to see Levis do his thing over the final three weeks of the season to figure out how their quarterback situation will look moving forward.

Tannehill is slated to become a free agent and will not be back next season. A fellow recent draft pick, Malik Willis has proven he’s not the answer.

At 5-9 on the season, Tennessee is merely playing out the string. The team is in the initial stages of a rebuild. Acquiring an understanding of whether Levis can be the guy moving forward will loom large as the 2023 season plays out.
