Assuming Cam Newton does get another chance to land a starting job this year, he appears to be ready for the challenge. The former NFL MVP is still looking for work. In the meantime, it appears he’s spending much of his time preparing his body for the rigors of NFL action.

Cam Newton’s latest workout video highlights an emphasis on stability

On Tuesday, B/R Gridiron shared a video of Newton working out with a trainer. Showcasing exceptional balance and control, he started by throwing a ball while balancing on his left foot atop a Bosu Ball. Then he transitioned to some controlled squats on a severe decline, then working with a medicine-ball workout atop the Bosu Ball once again. Finally, Newton was filmed running on top of an inflatable loop.

All these workouts emphasize balance, and control of all the core muscles. Newton has shared other workout videos recently, and there is no doubt he’s in phenomenal shape heading into the summer months.

Remember, Newton is coming back from season-ending foot surgery last December.

Will Cam Newton be signed before training camp?

It seems unlikely that Newton will be signed before teams arrive at training camp in July. He has reportedly made it clear he wants a chance to earn a starting job, and would be willing to wait for an injury to take place to land one.

Right now, teams have already made their plans for the 2020 season. Either by way of the draft or free agency, most teams are feeling comfortable with their situations.

That said, there is one team that would be better off with Newton than any other quarterback on its roster. It is also one that could contend for a title with a former MVP at the top of his game. So go ahead and give him a call, will you Bill?
