It seems as if the Washington Commanders have turned it in for the season. The players have already made vacation plans and aren’t interested in actually competing on the football field during the final three weeks of what has been a disaster class of a season for Washington.
This may sound a bit critical. But if you have the “pleasure” of watching Washington in the first half against another bad team in that of the New York Jets on Sunday, you understand why.

This one play represents that narrative to a T.
Yes, pure comedy. Washington found itself down 17-0 after the first quarter against a Jets team that was averaging 14.4 points heading into Sunday’s action.
Sam Howell completed 3-of-12 passes for 36 yards with an interception to open things up. The Commanders were outgained 160-42 in the first 21 minutes of the game.
Led by soon-to-be-fired head coach Ron Rivera, the Commanders have lost 10 of 12 since starting the season 2-0. They have been outscored by an average of 24 points over the past three games. It’s been a complete crap show under new owner Josh Harris, who simply can’t be happy about this humiliating product.
