United States President Donald Trump is already making big plans for the country’s 250th birthday next year, and it could include a UFC event on the grounds of the White House.
Around America today, citizens will be celebrating the nation’s 249th Independence Day. However, it also means we are just a year away from a landmark number in US history. With birthday 250 just 364 days away, President Trump is already plotting a big blowout for the nation in 2026. And it may involve a UFC event at the White House.
“We are going to have a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House,” Trump said at a rally in Iowa. “We have a lot of land there. Dana [White’s] going to build [a setup there]. Dana’s great. One of a kind. We’re going to have a championship fight. A full fight [card]. Like 20, 25,000 people. And we’re going to do that as a part of 250 also. We are going to have some incredible events.”

There is a solid amount of lawn space behind the White House. Specifically, the Ellipse area where the annual Christmas Tree goes. However, there is a bunch of trees in the area as well. To build a temporary arena, it would probably require taking down many of them. While that may not go over well with many, even if they did do that, a venue that seats close to 25,000 fans still seems unlikely.
However, something smaller that may seat close to 1,000 exclusive onlookers could be possible.
The current US president has been a huge fan of fight sports for decades and had many legendary boxing bouts at his casinos in Atlantic City, NJ, during the 1980s and 90s. However, he has developed a friendship with UFC boss Dana White over the last decade and has been in attendance for quite a few of the MMA promotion’s events over the last five years.
