New York Giants QB Tyrod Taylor ruled out, taken to hospital due to injury

New York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor filled in for starter Daniel Jones (neck) for the second consecutive game on Sunday against the New York Jets.

Unfortunately, Taylor lasted less than two quarters. The veteran injured his ribs in the second quarter after landing landing hard on the turf inside MetLife Stadium.

Here is the play in question.

Almost immediately, Taylor was ruled out with a rib injury. Various reports from Jersey also indicate that he’s been taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

It seems as if officials are checking for internal injury as it relates to Tyrod Taylor. In his stead, Tommy DeVito from Syracuse and Illinois came into the game.

This came with the Giants losing 7-3 at halftime as the team looks to pull off a second consecutive win after losing four consecutive.

Taylor had completed 4-of-7 passes for 8 yards prior to going down to the aforementioned injury. We’ll have further updates when they become available.
