Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars entered NFL Week 18 with one task. Defeat the Tennessee Titans and win the AFC South. A loss would have led to them missing the NFL Playoffs altogether.

About that? Jacksonville put up an absolute dud in Nashville, losing by the score of 28-20. Lawrence completed 29-of-43 passes for 280 yards with two touchdowns and two ugly interceptions.

The Jaguars’ previously stout defense yielded 153 rushing yards to Derrick Henry on just 19 attempts. In all, it was a completely uninspired performance from Doug Pederson’s squad in what was a must win.

Jacksonville started this season with a 6-2 record. The “up-and-coming” team seemed to be legitimate conference title contenders.

That’s when everything went to hell for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Coming out of their Week 9 bye against a San Francisco 49ers team that had lost three consecutive.

The Jags lost that home game by the score of 34-3, leading to a meltdown of epic proportions. All said, Jacksonville lost six of its final nine ganes, throwing away the AFC South title and a playoff spot in the process.
