Suddenly, there’s a new level of excitement brimming from the fanbase of the Tennessee Titans, and it’s not because they added All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins. While improving the receiving corps was much needed, this newfound joy is due to the unveiling of brand-new throwback jerseys for the 2023 season.

When it comes to bringing back an iconic look from the past, the Titans really have just one option, and it’s a no-brainer.

Of course, we’re talking about the Houston Oilers uniforms worn by legendary greats like Warren Moon, Earl Campbell, Mike Munchak, Bruce Matthews, and several others. While this move was previously hinted at, the team made it official Sunday with a well-produced video that dropped on social media.

This clip should get all Titans and Oilers fans hyped up for the start of the season.

The Titans will wear these Oilers alternates for two home games this season. They also tried to use them for one away game in Miami as well, but that may no longer be on the table.

These light blue uniforms will officially replace the Titans’ light blue alternates as their third jersey option, in addition to the navy and white options. The words ‘Luv Ya Blue’ will be printed on the back neckline of each Oilers jersey as an homage to their earlier generation.

Fans can already purchase the Oilers alternates wherever NFL jerseys are sold, which merchandise being available at Nissan Stadium as well. Titans and Oilers fans can visit the official team website for more on the history behind these tasteful uniforms.
