Buffalo Bills star Stefon Diggs appeared to have TD, officials thought otherwise

Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo Bills were looking to take a touchdown lead over the Miami Dolphins in their AFC Wild Card Playoff game in Western New York on Sunday afternoon.

Buffalo had opened up a 17-0 lead in the game before two Josh Allen interceptions spearheaded a Dolphins comeback to make the game tied at 17 late in the second quarter.

That’s when Diggs appeared to beat Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard for a touchdown late in the second quarter. He caught a rocket from Allen down the left sideline and seemed to have both feet in for the go-ahead touchdown. You be the judge.

Calling the game, Jim Nantz and Tony Romo of CBS Sports initially indicated that Stefon Diggs did not have possession with both feet in. An argument among those watching the game became a thing on social media. Did Diggs have both feat in or not?

Either way, Buffalo would go on to kick a field goal and take a 20-17 halftime lead.

The Bills are going to need more from the Allen-to-Diggs connection if they’re to avoid one of the biggest upsets in NFL Playoff history. Miami entered the game as 14-point underdogs and started third-string rookie seventh-round pick Skylar Thompson under center.
