Julian Edelman, as you are likely aware, has been suspended the first four games of the 2018 NFL season for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing drug policy.
However, Edelman wrote on social media recently that he has no idea what happened.
Furthermore, thanks to a report from Albert Breer of The MMQB, it appears scientists have no idea what happened, either.
“I was told Edelman’s result was triggered by a substance that wasn’t immediately recognizable,” Breer wrote, adding, “and there are scientists analyzing it.”
That seems…odd.
Breer also added that Edelman’s test was performed “a couple of months ago,” meaning it’s not for any kind of stimulant.
We’ll be eagerly awaiting further information on this strange case.
