The Milwaukee Brewers were active at August’s waiver trade deadline. After acquiring Xavier Cedeño and Gio Gonzalez, Milwaukee has now addressed its outfield depth with the addition of Curtis Granderson.

Granderson, a free agent this offseason, has been fairly productive for the Blue Jays this season. Across 104 games, the 37-year-old has 11 home runs with a .772 OPS and 21 doubles.

Given the depth in Milwaukee’s outfielder, Granderson will likely find himself in a bench role. He should provide a solid left-handed bat with some power and a good approach at the plate, though he can’t be trusted defensively.

The return for Toronto is not known at this time, though it’s likely to be a small prospect given Granderson’s diminished role and contract.
