They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. That may have been true for the Kansas City Chiefs on Super Bowl Sunday, hours before they overcame the San Francisco 49ers in a 25-22 bout.

We knew the Chiefs won, but we didn’t know they were fueled by homemade Pop-Tarts courtesy of Taylor Swift. I guess these are the perks you get when Travis Kelce starts dating a music icon, but who knew she had culinary talents too?

Thanks to coach Andy Reid, we recently learned that Swift cooked up a batch of homemade Pop-Tarts for the Chiefs’ offensive linemen. Much to Reid’s dismay, the linemen weren’t willing to share their delectable treats with their head coach.

Now the official Pop-Tarts toaster pastry company is getting involved too, and they want Swift to share her recipe with the rest of the world too.

Not only does Andy Reid want a taste of Taylor Swift’s now famous homemade Pop-Tarts, so does the toaster pastry company.

Pop-Tarts took out a full-page newspaper ad that can be seen in Friday’s edition of the Kansas City Star, where they plead for Swift to reveal the goods.

“We hear you have a Pop-Tarts pastry recipe. We’re tortured not knowing more about this DIY delight. What’s the filling? Does it have frosting? Do they have little holes?”

“So let’s make a deal.”

Pop-Tarts pledged to double a donation to Harvesters food bank in Kansas City “if you share (your version) of our recipe with the masses. And this time we’ll make sure coach gets a bite.

“You in?”

The Harvesters charity would receive $25,000 from Pop-Tarts if Swift ponies up and shares her recipe. This would provide 50,000 meals for their community.

While many would argue Pop-Tarts are tasty enough on their own, we don’t know what we’re missing out on without getting a chance to see what special recipe Swift has in store. Whether those secrets are ever revealed to anyone other than the Chiefs’ offensive linemen remains to be seen, but at least Pop-Tarts is trying to help her share with us too.
