In recent years, Kansas City Chiefs superfan ‘Chiefsaholic’ became well-known for his dedicated passion for cheering on Patrick Mahomes and Co. But in 2023, the fan known professionally as Xaviar Babudar went viral for a matter unrelated to the sports world.

Yet, that only added to the wild story of Chiefsaholic.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Chiefsaholic has pled guilty to charges related to a series of bank robberies.

Babudar robbed 11 banks across seven states, where he made away with $800,000. He then laundered the money through nearby casinos before being caught. Pleading guilty to robbery, money laundering, and transporting stolen property across state lines, Babudar faces a maximum prison sentence of 50 years.

The 29-year-old’s sentencing is set for July 10.

Chiefsaholic became popular among the fanbase at Arrowhead thanks to being dressed in a full gray wolf suit while attending Chiefs games. But now, he’s forced to pay $532,675 in restitution while also forfeiting any other property he attained through his criminal process. This even reportedly includes a signed Patrick Mahomes painting purchased at a charity auction.

Babudar initially faced up to 20 charges, but by accepting a plea deal, he faces just three. He has spent the past seven months jailed at the Leavenworth federal prison in Kansas, where he was allowed to listen to Chiefs games on a transistor radio.
