Colin Kaepernick played college football for the Nevada Wolf Pack and was named Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year twice. He was the only player in NCAA Division I FBS history to amass 10,000 passing yards and 4,000 rushing yards. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2011 and led them to the team’s first Super Bowl appearance in 17-years. In 2016, Kaepernick started to kneel during the national anthem in protest of racial injustice and police brutality. It was a polarizing action that split the nation and possibly a factor why no NFL team would sign him. He has been out of the NFL since 2016 despite many attempts to return.
Colin Kaepernick is in a relationship with Nessa Diab.
