On Dec. 3, Philadelphia Eagles head of security Dom DiSandro got involved in a sideline scuffle with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw. DiSandro was then asked to head back to the locker room for the rest of the game. Later, DiSandro was suspended from being on the sideline for Philadelphia’s following matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
Now, the NFL has banned DiSandro for the rest of the 2023 regular season.
While the Eagles won’t have their chief of security with them on the sidelines anymore, he’ll still be able to travel with the team and will be allowed to perform his other normal work duties.
The suspension is only believed to be for the regular season, meaning when the Eagles begin postseason play, DiSandro will presumably return to the sidelines again.
DiSandro has been with the Eagles since 1999 and became chief of security in 2011.
