Cleveland Browns’ Odell Beckham Jr. leaves game with shoulder injury

Browns-Odell-Beckham-Jr

There’s been a lot of talk about Odell Beckham Jr. and his lack of an impact for the Cleveland Browns in three games since returning from the torn ACL he suffered a season ago.

The three-time Pro Bowler has caught just 9-of-19 targets for 124 yards and zero touchdowns during that three-game span.

Taking on the undefeated Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, Beckham Jr. actually started out pretty well. That included catching two of his first three targets for 42 yards. Unfortunately, that second catch forced Odell Beckham Jr. to the sideline with a shoulder injury.

This came with Cleveland down 20-0 in the second quarter at home. It also comes with star running back Nick Chubb absent due to a calf injury.

It’s obviously way too early to tell how seriously Odell Beckham Jr. is hurt. But it’s not a great sign for the high-priced wide receiver and his team.

Since earning three consecutive Pro Bowl appearances to open his career (2014-16) with the New York Giants, it’s been all about the injuries for OBJ. Heading into 2021, he had missed 25 games over the past four seasons.

We’ll have further updates on the latest injury as they become available.
