Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic was ejected in the first half of Tuesday night’s game against the Chicago Bulls. It just so happens that the ejection came on a evening that the Bulls were celebrating Serbian Heritage Night in the Windy City.
It also came after Jokic was handed two technicals by official Mousa Dagher calling the game inside the United Center. It sure doesn’t look like Jokic deserved to be tossed. And as you can tell by the reactions of Bulls fans in Chicago, they were none too happy about the ejection.
Bulls announcers Adam Amin and Stacey King were also in disbelief over Jokic being tossed from the game.
“The people didn’t come to see the officials, let’s be honest, they came to see the players,” King said on the broadcast after Nikola Jokic was run.
Meanwhile, Bulls fans were not booing Jokic. Instead, they were letting their opinions known regarding Dagher and the officials.

It really is a crying shame that the best-known player from Serbia was ejected for something seemingly so innocent during Serbian Heritage Night. The zebras really should have read the room here.
Those watching the game from the confines of their home pretty much all had the same reactions. The common theme was “ejected for this …”
The NBA really needs to get a handle on officiating. This is completely absurd. Meanwhile, the officials should probably check their egos at the door.
