WATCH: Nick Bolton returns 36-yard Jalen Hurts fumble for touchdown in Super Bowl LVII

Nick Bolton

We’ve seen several momentum swings in Super Bowl LVII from both the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

Moments into the second quarter, Jalen Hurts had a magnificent 45-yard touchdown strike to A.J. Brown, but minutes later, the Eagles QB let the Chiefs right back in the game after fumbling the ball.

Kansas City’s Nick Bolton scooped up the loose ball and managed to rumble 36 yards for a touchdown to tie the Super Bowl at 14 points.

The odd part about Hurts’ mistake is that he simply lost the handle of the pigskin, leading to a huge opportunity for the Chiefs. Hurts lost just two fumbles all season, so this was certainly unexpected. His ability to protect the rock is a big reason why he finished second in the NFL MVP voting, only behind his Super Bowl opponent Patrick Mahomes.
