If the first day on Men’s Olympic ice hockey taught us anything, it’s that these games are going to be fast and physical. It will be interesting to see how the New Jersey Devils present fair in the international pool.

New Jersey Hockey Now: According to a report, the Devils are getting another black alternate jersey in 2026-27 as part of the upcoming “Hometown Remix” initiative.
Well, it was a good first day of Olympic hockey for the Devils in Milan. Slovakia upset Finland in a 4-1 victory. Simon Nemec registered a primary assist and was second to only Miro Heiskanen in time on ice.
Then, Jesper Bratt dished a primary assist as well amid Sweden’s 5-2 victory over Italy, which was probably too close for comfort.
