Jake Evans played the hero role versus the Vegas Golden Knights, scoring an important overtime goal to secure a 3-2 win. Jakub Dobes was very solid, making 32 saves in the win. [Canadiens Highlights: Unlikely Hero Secures Big Win]

Evans’ teammates were beyond excited to celebrate his overtime marker.

Cole Caufield has been on a tear since being snubbed by Team USA for the 2026 Winter Olympics. The American sniper has nine goals in the last six games, and is among the hottest goalscorers in the NHL.

Captain Nick Suzuki had nothing but good things to say about his longtime linemate.

Tom Fitzgerald very well may have just saved his job offloading a hefty contract weighing on his team. The New Jersey Devils trade Ondrej Palat, a 2026 third-round pick, and a 2027 sixth-round pick to the New York Islanders in exchange for project forward Maxim Tsyplaklov. [New Jersey Devils]

It was another lost weekend for the Toronto Maple Leafs. First losing to Mitch Marner in his return to the city to face his old mates for the first time, then getting thoroughly manhandled by the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday in a 4-1 loss. The frustration obviously set in for star forward William Nylander, who is currently out with a groin injury and watching from the press box. He gave the middle-finger salute to a national TV audience during the third period of Sunday’s loss. [Toronto Maple Leafs]

There is another Bruin going to Milan. On Tuesday morning, the Swedish Ice Hockey Association announced that Boston Bruins defenceman Hampus Lindholm has been added to the 2026 Olympic roster.  [Boston Bruins]
