Of all the teams that need a new quarterback this offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers are arguably the best landing spot. Who else can practically guarantee a trip to the playoffs, as Mike Tomlin’s teams haven’t missed the postseason at all across 18 seasons?

Not to mention, the Steelers have an established No. 1 receiver with George Pickens and a couple of young, exciting pieces along the offensive line. If Najee Harris returns, they’ll have a Pro Bowl running back in the backfield too.

With stability at the top, plus an experienced offensive coordinator and play-caller in former Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith returning for a second year, the Steelers look like a prime landing spot for any quarterback expected to sign with a contender.

The Pittsburgh Steelers had Justin Fields and Russell Wilson as their starting quarterbacks in 2024. Neither are under contract for 2025. While the Steelers have expressed an interest in signing one of them again, what if they realize they can land an even better solution?

Four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers is also set to become a free agent with recent word that the New York Jets plan to release the former Super Bowl winner.

According to DraftKings, the Steelers have already emerged as the betting favorites to sign Rodgers as their starting QB for the 2025 season.

With so many teams in search of an upgrade to their QB room, Rodgers seemingly has several options to choose from this offseason. Yet, of course only a select few will target the 41-year-old.
