The Las Vegas Raiders have run into a lot of problems in recent years. Problems that Maxx Crosby may or may not be getting sick of.

No matter what happens with Crosby, now that they’ve hired offensive wizard Klint Kubiak from the Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks, the Raiders are expected to inject some more talent onto the roster. NFL insiders are already connecting the dots between Kubiak and some of his former players.

Specifically, ESPN’s Ryan McFadden believes the Raiders could target pending free agent receivers Alec Pierce and Rashid Shaheed, the last of which is an All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowler.

“They will also need to add a top wide receiver who can take the attention away from Bowers. The Indianapolis Colts’ Alec Pierce and the Seahawks’ Rashid Shaheed are two wide receivers the Raiders could target in free agency. Shaheed has familiarity with Kubiak’s system and can provide additional value as a returner.”

Shaheed in particular is an interesting fit. While the Seahawks did give up a fourth and fifth-round pick for the 27-year-old return specialist/deep receiving threat, Kubiak’s departure from Seattle to Vegas could result in Shaheed following him too.

While it’s always risky leaving the team Shaheed succeeded with, he’d likely have a prominent role with Kubiak’s new-look Raiders too, as they don’t have a bona fide No. 1 receiver like Jaxon Smith-Njigba. While Brock Bowers commands the most targets in Vegas, Shaheed could slot in as their top wide receiver and possibly put up bigger numbers than the 687 yards he gained in 2025.

Plus, the Raiders are projected to begin the offseason with over roughly $85 million in cap space, giving them more than enough to throw a big bag at Shaheed or Pierce as soon as free agency kicks off.
