After playing with some of the best players in the NFL at the 2022 Pro Bowl, quarterback Kyler Murray seemingly erased any ties to the Arizona Cardinals on his Twitter and Instagram profiles.
Murray, coming off a brutal performance in a Wild Card loss to the Los Angeles Rams, seemed happy in Las Vegas as he teamed up with his NFC teammates in relaxed practices. The star quarterback carried that excitement into Sunday’s exhibition Pro Bowl, throwing for 160 yards and three touchdowns.
- Kyler Murray stats (2021): 3,787 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns, 423 rushing yards, 5 rushing touchdowns
But when fans examined Kyler Murray’s Twitter and Instagram profiles hours after the game ended, he removed all references to the Cardinals and no longer follows the team’s social media accounts.
This isn’t the first time a Cardinals’ player removed any affiliations with the team on their Instagram account. When cornerback Patrick Peterson was unhappy with the Cardinals’ organization in 2019, he removed images of himself in an Arizona uniform.
There are now only two pictures on Murray’s Instagram account, The first is a post from Dec. 9, 2018 with Murray in an Oklahoma Sooners uniform. As for his most recent photo, posted Sunday, it’s him and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb warming up in their Pro Bowl attire.
Arizona already went into the offseason with plenty of fans upset that Kliff Kingsbury is sticking around as head coach. Now, there could be new signs of trouble in the desert.
