WATCH: Florida State’s Jashaun Corbin burns Notre Dame with 89-yard TD

Syndication: Tallahassee Democrat

The Florida State Seminoles were being dominated early on at home against Notre Dame Sunday evening. That’s until Jashaun Corbin decided to put the underdogs right back in the game.

With Florida State having tallied three yards of total offense towards the end of the first quarter, Corbin took a hand off and ran 89 yards for a touchdown to tie the game up at seven.

This came after Irish tight end Michael Mayer opened up the scoring with a long touchdown of his own.

A four-star recruit of Texas A&M back in 2018, Jashaun Corbin had not lived up to expectations through his first three seasons. He put up 401 yards for the Seminoles last season, his first appearance with Florida State after transferring from the Aggies.

In order for Florida State to rebound from a disastrous 3-6 2020 campaign, it will need talented players like Corbin to step up.

At the very least, he more than lived up to that billing against a heavily-favored Notre Dame team early Sunday evening to tie this game up at seven.
