Esthetician Ashley Solis, who was the first plaintiff to sue Deshaun Watson for civil assault, spoke publicly about her alleged encounter with the Houston Texans quarterback.
Click 2 Houston provided live coverage of the press conference, and provided a key excerpt from the lawsuit, which alleges Watson “assaulted and harassed (her) by touching her with his (private area) and exposing himself to her.”
ESPN’s Sarah Barshop provided the key details from Solis’ presser, which marks the first time any of Watson’s accusers have publicly identified themselves:
More information has been coming to light as the scandal has gone on, as Watson faces numerous lawsuits alleging similar incidents of sexual misconduct while at massage therapy sessions.
Watson led the NFL in passing yards last season, and prior to the controversy surrounding him, he had demanded a trade from the Texans.
Now, despite reports of other teams still showing recent interest in dealing for Watson as the investigation into the allegations continue, it seems like the 25-year-old’s future in pro football is very much up in the air.
It remains to be seen whether Solis will be the only woman to come forward publicly, but attorney Tony Buzbee has numerous other clients who are accusing Watson of sexually explicit behavior.
Watson and his lawyer, Rusty Hardin, have vehemently denied the allegations. According to Hardin, per Click 2 Houston, he will make Watson available to speak with police investigators.
