FC Dallas signed 18-year-old winger Beni Redzic to a two-year contract on Friday.

The deal includes club options for the 2023, 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Redzic, who joined the FC Dallas Academy at age 6, becomes the club’s league-leading 31st Homegrown Player.

Redzic scored 53 goals in 93 appearances for academy teams from the U-13 through U-19 levels. He made his pro debut with the club’s USL League One affiliate North Texas SC in 2020 and tallied three goals in 13 matches.

“I’ve been smiling all day and I can’t wait to get started,” Redzic said, per the team’s Twitter feed.

FC Dallas open the 2021 MLS regular season at home against the Colorado Rapids on April 17.
