The Mannings, Eli, Peyton, and even Cooper, have also become well-known for their great sense of humor. Eli has shown this in many forms, but especially lately, thanks to his involvement in Omaha Productions, where he has his own show called Eli’s Places.
Now, Eli Manning’s other character, his fictional one named Chad Powers, is getting a chance to shine too.
New Hulu TV show capitalizes on Eli Manning’s Chad Powers spoof
For those who are unfamiliar with Chad Powers, it’s Eli Manning’s alter-ego, in a way. Really, it’s just Manning dressed in a costume, where he acts like an undiscovered walk-on Penn State QB with a big arm.
Here’s the original clip, all seven minutes of it.
But now, Chad Powers is hitting the big screen with Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell set to portray Powers for another Omaha Productions special broadcast on Hulu streaming services.
Manning didn’t realize how popular the Chad Powers character would become, but now he’s fully embraced the role.
“The love for Chad Powers has surprised me in spectacular ways. I played 16 years in the NFL, but now when I’m in a restaurant or walking through an airport, it’s not uncommon for fans to scream, ‘Hey Chad!’ I’m so excited to team up with my friends Glen Powell, Michael Waldron and Omaha Productions to continue to tell the Chad Powers story and see what he does next.”
