Drew Brees ‘would love nothing more’ than for Jimmy Graham reunion

With a new contract in hand, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is turning his attention to other areas on the team. Specifically, a potential reunion with tight end Jimmy Graham.

The Saints have been active in talks with the five-time Pro Bowl tight end. Running back Mark Ingram is certainly on board and now we know that Brees is, as well.

Graham enjoyed the best years of his career with New Orleans. From 2011-2014, he averaged 89 receptions, 1,099 yards, and 12 touchdowns a season for the Saints. In the following three years with the Seattle Seahawks, Graham’s numbers were down. From 2015-2017, he averaged 57 receptions, 683 yards, and six touchdowns a year.

In that same timeframe, Brees completed 68 percent of his passes with a 102.1 passer rating. He averaged 40 touchdowns, 16 interceptions, and a staggering 5,192 passing yards per season.

New Orleans is one of multiple teams interested in Graham. The Baltimore Ravens and Green Bay Packers are both looking into signing him, as well.
