Dallas Goedert opens Philadelphia Eagles’ playoff run with one-handed TD grab

Despite missing five games to injury during the regular season, Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert proved to be one of Jalen Hurts’ favorite targets.

The New York Giants found that out early during Saturday night’s NFC Divisional Playoffs with Hurts hitting Goedert out on the flat as Philadelphia threatened to take an early lead.

However, it was the one-handed catch Goedert made that’s the story here. Not only did he haul in a somewhat inaccurate pass, the star tight end turned up field for a 16-yard touchdown to give Philadelphia an early 7-0 lead.

The fact that Dallas Goedert made an early impact in this one shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. New York yielded a 75% completion rate to tight ends during the regular season.

As for Goedert, he hauled in 6-of-7 targets against New York back in Week 18. In 12 regular season games, the South Dakota State product caught 55 passes for 702 yards and three touchdowns while hauling in 80% of his targets. That seems pretty good.
