Baker Mayfield was more than humbled by the New England Patriots last week, he was battered in a lopsided loss.

Mayfield will not practice Wednesday after being hit 10 times Sunday and has three injuries listed on the first injury report of Week 11 released by the team: foot, knee and shoulder.

“It’s been tough, but I don’t think anybody gives a damn,” Mayfield said Wednesday. “So, there’s no reason to get into that. Nobody cares. Nobody wants to feel bad for us. So, it is what it is. It’s alright.”

Mayfield, who is under contract with the Browns through 2022 after the team exercised his fifth-year option, has nine touchdowns and four interceptions. He said he plans to play Sunday when the Detroit Lions come to Cleveland.

“Pretty sore. That time of the year,” Mayfield said. “One day at a time but I’ll be good. … Probably the most beat up I’ve been. Multiple things, not just one.”

Injuries have been a widespread issue for the Browns. Running back Kareem Hunt is “making progress” after a calf injury in Week 6 but won’t play this week, head coach Kevin Stefanski said. Hunt will miss his fifth consecutive game.
