Three members of the Cleveland Browns roster have reportedly been victims of a stunning slew of robberies in recent days.

Professional athletes always drew more attention than regular people. They are a part of the large fraternity of the world’s celebrities and are often recognized wherever they are. However, in the case of many pro athletes — and the Cleveland Browns are no different — they are often young and looking to flaunt their success and newfound wealth.

Unfortunately, while that means they can stand out to sports fans, it also brings the wrong kind of attention. This has been the case for a trio of Cleveland Browns players in recent days.

3 different Cleveland Browns players have car stolen in a matter of days

On Monday there were two separate reports from Browns Digest reporter Brandon Little about Cleveland players being the victims of robberies. The first was about special teams’ talent Demetric Felton. His car was reportedly stolen on Sunday from a parking lot that Felton claimed afterward he believes he was followed to.

A few hours later came the news that cornerback Greg Newsome II also had his car stolen after being robbed at gunpoint at Filter Experience on West Superior Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. The fact that the incident happened just hours apart and for the same type of personal items began to set off alarm bells that Cleveland Browns players could be the targets of a greater scheme.

Things only got weirder on Tuesday when Little broke the news of a third Cleveland Browns player that was allegedly robbed over the last few days. While the identity of the athlete was unknown, the source told the outlet he was also robbed of his car and jewelry.

It is a shocking and scary situation that may force the franchise and the NFL to reach out to local authorities to figure out why and how the team’s players continue to be victimized by local criminals before things escalate and a tragic event occurs.
