Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders game rescheduled to Monday

Cleveland Browns, Jadeveon Clowney, Las Vegas Raiders

Update: According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, the Cleveland Browns vs. Las Vegas Raiders game is being rescheduled to Monday.

After Jadeveon Clowney became the 21st Cleveland Browns player to land on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the NFL is now considering rescheduling Saturday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Of the 21 players currently on the COVID list, as of Friday morning, 11 are listed as starters on the depth chart. Cleveland is also without head coach Kevin Stefanski along with starting quarterback Baker Mayfield and backup Case Keenum.

Following days of resistance from the NFL against rescheduling the game, the severity of the Browns’ outbreak is now changing the discussion.

According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, the NFL and NFL Players Association are in discussions to move the scheduled Browns vs. Raiders game from Saturday to Monday or Tuesday.

While nothing is official, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Raiders’ players are being told to prepare not to fly out to Cleveland at their scheduled 11:15 AM PST time takeoff.

An official announcement from the NFL could come within the next hour. But with the Browns still receiving more positive COVID-19 test results every day this week, it’s likely their game is rescheduled.
