Chris Long blasts CBS for rejecting ad about legalizing marijuana

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long shared a strong opinion Monday about CBS’ decision to reject an advertisement for Super Bowl LIII that called for the legalization of marijuana.

The proposed advertisement was from Acreage Holdings, which is a “multi-state cannabis company backed by John Boehner,” per Bloomberg, said CBS rejected the proposed spot after seeing a rough outline.

When Long saw this news on social media, he responded on Twitter: “Keep pumping the booze ads, guys. You’re doing great!”

No lies detected.

This is hardly the first time Long has chimed in on weighty matters. He’s become quite an outspoken critic on social justice issues, among other things.

But whether you agree with him or not, nobody can say he doesn’t put his money where his mouth is.
