Eagles’ Chris Long donating game checks to help people of Charlottesville

Chris Long

No matter where he’s played during a 10-year NFL career, Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long has been heavily involved in the community. This stems back to his days as a member of the Virginia football team in Charlottesville.

So it shouldn’t have come as too much of a surprise that Long decided to take action after one woman was killed and 19 others were injured in an act of domestic terrorism in Charlottesville back in August.

Now, Long is putting his money where his mouth is.

This equates to about a $350,000 donation and will be used to promote “equality through education” in Long’s old stomping grounds.

We definitely give the veteran a ton of credit for doing his part to help a community that was rocked by a shocking act of violence on what should have been an otherwise peaceful summer day.
