Little-known Chicago Bears player rips Green Bay Packers fanbase's football knowledge

It doesn’t matter who’s coaching or playing. The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers will always be one of the best rivalries in football, dating all the way back to 1921. Sure, in recent time Aaron Rodgers has insisted that he “owns the Bears“, but the last time we checked, that hon(or belongs to Virginia Halas McCaskey.

Officially, the Packers lead the all-time series, 105-96-6, but now that Rodgers is out of town, there’s no telling how this classic NFC North rivalry will shake up. For the record, Rodgers did win 25 out of his 30 matchups against Chicago across his 18 seasons in Green Bay. Naturally, one would think the Bears organization is doing cartwheels with the four-time MVP no longer on the schedule.

But there’s one member of the Bears who actually claims to “wish” Rodgers was still his opponent. In fact, defensive tackle Justin Jones, who’s in his second season with Chicago, completely tore into the Packers during a media availability on Tuesday. The odd part is that he was actually highly critical of the Wisconsin fanbase.

“I wish he (Rodgers) played one more year, honestly. They won, but their fans are really shitty. Just the way that they are just fricken obnoxious, yelling about things that don’t even matter. Half of ’em don’t even know football, it’s so weird to me. I want to go out there and beat the hell out of them, on their field. I want to hear the boos.”

Wow. Talk about some great bulletin board material for the Packers fanbase. Jones better be ready to back up his play, otherwise those boos at Lambeau Field will be louder than he’s ever heard.

Jones, entering his sixth season in the NFL, has 170 career tackles and 7.5 sacks, spanning four years with the Los Angeles Chargers and last season with the Bears.

Now, many Packers fans are learning his name and number (93) for the first time in their lives. But I’m sure if we asked Jones, the fact that they don’t know who he is probably wouldn’t come as a big surprise. Then again, many football fans likely don’t know his name or which team he plays for either. We’ll see if that changes this season, or thanks to his latest comments, which will surely draw the ire of Packers fans.
