Browns still have no timetable for Josh Gordon return

Josh Gordon

Training camp for the Cleveland Browns has, thus far, not included Josh Gordon. According to general manager John Dorsey, it will remain that way for a while.

Dorsey said on Thursday that there’s no timetable for Gordon’s return to the team.

Gordon’s absence remains clouded in mystery. There have been rumblings that his absence could be related to substance abuse issues. But there has been nothing to confirm that, either.

Gordon was suspended for the entire 2015 and 2016 seasons. He was reinstated late in the 2017 season and made a sizable impact in the time he had. In five games, Gordon caught 18 passes for 335 yards with one touchdown.

Rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield has spoken highly of Gordon. As such, the Browns are certainly hoping that Gordon can work through his issues (whatever they are) and gets to camp as soon as possible.
