Bronny James blowing up Twitter with dazzling display at Powerade Jam Fest

Twenty years ago, LeBron James won the Powerade Jam Fest, the high school equivalent of the NBA’s Slam Dunk Contest. Today, his son Bronny James is participating in the Jam Fest as a member of the Mcdonald’s All-American team.

But James isn’t just participating. He’s practically breaking the internet with each dunk he makes, putting on a show in front of thousands of fans in attendance, as well as anyone with access to Twitter.

Here’s Bronny’s first dunk of the night, a two-handed reverse windmill slam that left the crowd shook.

Here are a few more from James’ night, where he showed athleticism clearly runs in the family, where he appears to have gotten his dad’s hops. He even brought his other brother, Bryce, into the fun, only to dunk over him too.

While his dad already says he’s better than many current NBA players, it remains to be seen just how good of a basketball player Bronny James can become, but that verticality is legitimate.

How much further the 18-year-old can develop before he’s eligible for next year’s NBA draft could go a long way toward determining his landing spot at the pro level. For now, the next question becomes where LeBron James’ son will play college basketball.
